Registered Stormyridge Appaloosa mares enjoy summer grazing with the herd.

Stormyridge Appaloosa mares, imprinted early, have excellent dispositions, conformation, and an easy way of going.  Most were raised high in the Rocky Mountains, where horseback riding is an integral part of life.  They are fit and strong, with unusual stamina.  Calm and steady by nature, these registered Appaloosas are in different stages of training, which includes Parelli methods, and they will be equally at home on the trail, around the ranch or farm, and under saddle in the show ring.  Details specific to each mare are provided below.

Litening, foaled in May 2000. She is a handsome, lively mare weighing approximately 1100 lb and standing 15 hands.  She has ground training, halters well, and is ready to be trained for your needs.

 

Litening's lovely 2005 foal, shown at four days with her mom, is an exceptional filly now coming 2 years and available for purchase.

Satintouche, foaled May 2001.  Satin is a dark bay with snowflakes in her coat.  Her mane and tail are short, old style Appaloosa.  She has a sweet temperament, has been handled since birth, works well with the farrier, and has some ground training.  Satin's weight is approximately 1120 lb and she stands 15 hands.

Satin's handsome and personable 2005 foal, shown here at one week, is not available for sale.  With this baby, Satin has proven an excellent brood mare, having delivered easily and now attentive to her foal, yet calm and hospitable toward human helpers.

Querida, Appaloosa/Quarterhorse cross, is presently in ground training, playing "games" in the round  pen.

Querida Pequeno, foaled August 2002.  She is a sorrel with snowflake spots.  At 14.1 hands, Querida weighs approximately 900 lb.  Very affectionate with a calm temperament, feet can be handled, she is ready for more training.

Querida's 2005 foal Chance, shown here at 2 days old, is now in ground training.  Like Satin, Querida delivered this baby easily and is a joy when it comes to sharing her foal with humans.

 

This Appaloosa mare has lightened in color each year. I call her my lavender horse.

Lace, foaled June 2001.  Lace has unusual coloring, grulla/white roaning with long stockings.  She loves attention, trailer loads, and halters and handles well.  All the 2001 babies are well-imprinted.  Ready for performance training.  Mares in her bloodline deliver easily and are good mothers.
