Like Stormyridge Appaloosa mares, our geldings were imprinted early and have friendly dispositions, excellent conformation, and an easy way of going.  Raised high in the Rocky Mountains, where horseback riding is an integral part of life, they are fit and strong, with unusual stamina.  Calm and steady by nature, these registered Appaloosas are in different stages of training, which includes Parelli methods, and they will be equally at home on the trail, around the ranch or farm, and under saddle in the show ring.  Details specific to each gelding are provided below.

Chance, foaled July 4, 2005, is a handsome, well-bred Appaloosa gelding with an exceptional, gentle temperament, very good conformation, and beautiful, smooth gait.  At four years, Chance is trained for ranch work, trail riding, and all-around pleasure riding.  His dam, Querida Pequeno, shown to the right, has passed on her calm, affectionate disposition to this promising young horse.

Crescent, foaled July 2001, shown above and below in June 2006, and below right in June 2004.  A really flashy fellow, Crescent  is calm, likes attention, and is completely reliable under saddle.  He trailers willingly.  With his shorter back and easy gait, Crescent is a very smooth ride and will make a fine trail horse.  Crescent has proven to be a quick learner and unusually accepting of new tasks.  His potential is exceptional.

Cresent begs for pets whenever someone is in the corral. He may gait.

Komanche is a May 2000 gelding.  A striking blue roan with white blanket, Komanche is massively built with a short back.  As with all Tapers progeny, Komanche has a great and willing temperament.  Green saddle broke and gentle by nature, Komanche responds well to time and attention.  His weight is approximately 1100 lb and he stands 15 hands.  To learn more about Komanche, see his special page for additional photos and information.  SOLD

Delgadito, foaled August 2002.  Del started as a sorrel with blanket from the withers back.  He is now a leopard, but unlike many leopards, has nice face markings.  Del is long-legged and has not reached his full size.  He has an excellent friendly temperament and wants to be handled.  No training as yet.

Sangre, foaled April 1996.  Sangre's ground training started in 2002, using Parelli method.  In 2003 saddle training began and he was ridden by adults and young adults. Ponied on trails since he was three years old, Sangre has become a steady and sensible trail mount.  He weighs 1250 lb and stands 16.1, much larger than his sire or dam.  He is strong and has the legs and strength for jumping and dressage.
